Recap Time

Here I go with the breakdown of he past week and a half (or so).

I haven’t done much worth a spot in the blog lately, but I have discovered I have a Trojan on my Desktop.  Nothing too major; all I have to do is do a quick system restore.  I won’t lose anything important.  I’ve been scouting out tilesets around the net for Everest, partly due to the annoying priority errors and such in the Ultimate Exterior one I’m using currently.  I might compile a couple on my own, if I need to.  I’m also getting back into spriting.  I do this because I kind of enjoy it and it saves me the trouble of going through page after page of Google searches.  I’m gonna totally redesign Noll to make it more of a port town.  This is going to play a big part in the story (I wanted to have a few missions on the northern waters, so Noll seemed like a good starting point).

I’ve also been thinking about getting a cell phone.  Nothing like the iPhone or anything, but maybe a Samsung or something.  I might ask for one for Christmas, but until then, I’ll see what I can do about it.  Report cards come out the other day, and I did fair, I guess.  Two “C’s”, a “B,” and the rest were all “A’s.”  Pretty good compared to my 1st nine weeks grades last year.  This is going to be used to help my Cell Phone fund.

I guess that’ all that I’ve got for the moment.  I’ll keep you guys up to date as best as I can.

Monday may have went by well, but the bad things caught up to me today.

The morning went on pretty well, but then everything fell apart by first block.  Maybe everyone else felt like crap, too, but I think it’s safe to say that annoying the heck out of someone is not a good way to make yourself look good.  These two guys in class that sit by me decided to make perverted jokes all class long involving something I won’t entail, and I knew what they were trying.  Their goal was to try and get me frustrated and say something (possibly to give them an excuse to beat me up, but I don’t know), so I just shrugged them off and kept on working.  They stopped for approximately seventeen seconds before going at it again.  Again, I shrugged them off, only slightly more frustrated then before.  So, block one gets over, and I’m pretty satisfied with myself for not losing it.  Well, the morons sat around me in EVERY CLASS for the rest of the day.  I don’t know how they didn’t get caught sitting out of place.  I never lost it, but they told everybody the same thing about me being gay, anyways.  This time, I lost it and threw one of them into a desk while the teacher was out of the room.  The guys finally left me alone, but I still had the feeling that everyone thought I was insane.  I was glad to get back home.  It gave me a while to relax and and enjoy my life.  I’m going to try and evade the idiots tomorrow.

I didn’t get on RMXP any, yet, but I did think a bit more about the Solis Monastery.  I’ve decided to make the main boss the head cultist/monk there.  He’s a pyromancer that is going to be around level 46.  The loot is going to be the sword I mentioned last entry.  I’m sorry for the really short entry, but I’m going to work on Everest more.

Till’ next entry,

1 Day…Infinite Win

I’ve had a Monday that, for once, rocked.

The start of the day turned out better than I had thought, as I discovered I woke up about 10 minutes after I was supposed to.  I panicked, got dressed, and ate in about five minutes.  I wasted no time in setting off for school.  Much to my surprise, I made good time, and I didn’t get a tardy.  My record is still intact!  After that, school was pretty boring throughout, which I sort of like.  Algebra came, and I was dreading it because we started a new chapter today and I was assuming the worst (Scientific Notation), but again, luck was on my side; we have a very simple chapter dealing with samples and surveys.  This will be an enjoyable week.

P.E came along then, and we had to run the usual 5 laps around the football field, but I did pretty good and didn’t get too tired.  I did pretty good playing football, too.  I wasn’t that great offense-wise, but my defense was at it’s prime.

Then I got home, and was bored, so I had a bite to eat, and checked on the YouTubes before I started blogging, and I found the greatest video to grace mankind:

This is the only video I’ve ever seen that portrays both of my two loves so accurately.  Farming and Heavy metal.  This is so added to my favorites.

I’ve also done some mapping on Everest today.  It’s not much, I’m just finalizing some cliffs in the village of Noll.  That’s not much of a major place or anything, but I’m not going to trade quality for time.  I’ve also redesigned the battle system to more of a dueling system.  It’s still an ABS and all, but the system is based on 1on 1 fights with a ton of button mashing.  I’m just trying to implement strategy into it more so that it’s not all “Quick!  Press so and so!”  I’m going for more of a system that makes you both think and move fast.  I’m probably going to hire a scripter off of RMXP.org (see sidebar) to make this for me.  The Solis monastery has had some puzzles added to it (involving flame, of course!), to give it more of a challenge for the people that like to fight, fight, fight.  That’s pretty much it for today.  I just have a simple request to any readers:  If you have any ideas for dungeons or anything else involving Everest, do not hesitate to leave a comment.  I’m trying to make the game as fun for all gamers as possible, and I need YOUR opinion!  Readers come first!

Till’ next entry!

I’m really tired of blogger’s customization, so I’m going to start anew with a shiny WordPress blog!

I’ll start with the recap I owe you all.  I’ve done near nothing on Everest for quite a while now, because I’ve been using my dad’s laptop for a long while.  Now I’ve got my desktop back, so I’ll have more things to do now.  I will reveal some information about the newest dungeon, though: Solis Monastery.  It’s not  part of the main game outside of some stories told about it, but it will be worth a fortune of exploration value, and anyone using the Sun Knight class can be exited, because the sword at the end gives a very lucrative bonus to Solar and Fire magic.  The Monastery is going to be packed with the initial release, so you won’t have to wait at all once you get your hands on the game.  Along with the monastery, I’ve decided to add a visual equipment script to show off the new sword.

I have a life that doesn’t exist in cyberspace too!  I’ve started my new school, and it is a very big improvement over the old one.  The people there are friendly to newcomers, and I made friends pretty quick.  I’ve also been doing better in terms of grades as well.  My grades have all been A’s since starting, and I’m confident they will remain that way.  Math is a slight different story;  it was a 70 the last time I checked, but I’m going to raise it up as quickly as possible.  I’ve enjoyed my weekend (My friend brought his Wii over and we played SSBB for hours on end), and I’m planning to watch Iron Man after this entry.  I meant to watch it in theaters, but I never got the chance.

Now that you’ve caught up, I’m going to edit my blog a bit.  Nothing major, just a few content blocks and maybe a theme change.

See you,

~Drew
